think about these words before starting a friendship with other sex
How many women there be, would, if they could, transmute love into friendship! That is to say,
Women regard a man's friendship as a delicate flattery to themselves; yet they instinctively know, though they try hard to forget, that a man's friendship for a woman is extremely likely to transcend the bounds of friendship.
If only friendship would keep within bounds! How many women deceive themselves into thinking that were devoutly to be wished! Yet probably, as a matter of fact,
The very woman who avers she regrets that your friendship is not mere Platonic, would resent the Platonism did it exist. Possibly not every woman will understand this. Assuredly no woman will admit it. And yet,
It is impossible to conjecture in what an exchange of confidences may terminate: it may be a kiss, or it may be a quarrel.

well just Say hello to her everytime you see her.
Next time you have a BBQ Tell her that you are having a couple of mates over and ask her if she would like to come. tell her to bring some of her friends.
OR
Next time you see her ask her if you can hang out with her or hang out with her or what ever the words are that you'd use. and Im sure she'd be happy. Even if you ask her out to somewhere not as a date but as a friend. Not all Women think you are their "boyfriend" if you ask them to go bowling with you.
It cant be that hard surely

I'm kinda good at making friends especially with girls but sometimes i tend to get shy..
I think a woman hates cocky and over confident men... Start by saying hi or complimenting her (her clothes, hair, etc.).. don't forget to smile and don't over do things..in that way you or she can open a good conversation..

if your just looking for a friend and not anything else, i would just treat her like another one of your guy mates e.g talk to her bout wot shes into and wot her hobbies are. but if your looking for a relationship i would be very romantic and compliment on her looks. buy her flowers, shower her with gifts and she'll be all over you!

well,i've always had many guy friends... its easy to talk to the opposite sex coz i've always been boyish(not homo or anything, just addicted to GTA like the rest of my guy friends)..i'm the kind of girl where guys don't pretend around me,i'm cool with them they're cool with me, we play games, they tell me about their dates, gf's, problems,i tell them mine...so that's the kind of relationship i have with them, and they're a bit protective to me so i really like being friends with 'em...it's like having brothers... i'm not even sure how we got along but we have the same humor and all. i'm just the type of girl guys get along with are comfortable to be with without any pressures on them...

Try to find anything that you two might have in common, and talk about it. As her lots of questions so she can talk about herself. People tend to enjoy talking about themselves and their interests/passions.
If all else fails, talk about the weather.

Ask a dummy question that make her laugh, then become a good listener after that.
