Norton is telling me that I need to update my virus protection, but it won't let me click on 'next'

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Please, I do not want anyone telling me to get another another anti-virus thing or anything. I just want help with my problem. I use what I want.

I had the same exact problem! I called and got tech help and they could not resolve it. I realized that I was really using my computer without the benefit of norton for 2 years and paying for it!! If you can't update-you are not protected! When the 5th and final tech gave up I got a 2 year refund and I am online without norton as I was anyway when I had it!! Good luck!

My suggestion for if your ok with it..
Just uninstall the damn norton antivirus that never work..
Get a free antivirus that are surely better performance (wont slow your pc) and can detect almost all virus available (norton Sucks).

Try "AVG antivirus, Avast, Nod32, Kapersky" . my fav is kapersky. all this are free go to download.com.

Good luck

As new threats emerge, Symantec immediately builds new protection updates and makes them available for download on a subscription basis.
Download them here:

If your Norton is legal, call Symantec.

If not, re-install Windows, your PC is SNAFUed.
