everytime i restart vista, it takes the low display resolution
so i have to readjust it everytime i reboot... any suggestions

maybe your graphics adapter is not that capable...how much video memory does it have? i suggest 256MB or better...

minimum criteria for vista is 2Gb or Ram with a twin midsection processor yet apart from that ur situation is that both u havent put in the drivers an so not one of the units are operating authentic or ur drivers are so previous they're incompatible with vista

Your PC doesn't have the minimum hardware requirements to run Vista.

Because vista will automatically adjust your display setting to your performance of your pc...
