I have an AMD 64 x2 processor and a K9N NEO-f motherboard. Is my computer 32 bit or 64 bit?

It can run either. It all depends on the OS you wish to throw at it. But 64bit is more popular w/ servers. Should you opt to run 64bit OS, you might have problems w/ 64bit drivers of some of your peripheral devices.

64 bit computer but without the '64'bit XP operating system, functions normally. The 64 bit OS would have limitations with the software that will run on it. Stick with 32 bit software and a 32 bit operating system. I have an AMD 64 pc but don't notice any performance increases with it, unless I'm going with a 64 bit operating system. It's marketing ploy so you get sucked into all the hype but really, a lot of other components in your system make up for the performance or lack of it.

"AMD 64 x2 processor" says it's a 64 bit CPU.

64 bit. You're ready for the new software coming out.

It is also a dual core type so Linux would run great on it.
