I am so damn tired of this " Hey, lets get another wide receiver " crap. No matter who your receivers are, if your quarterback cannot get the ball to them, be it because A) they suck or B) the o-line cannot protect worth a damn (both of which are Detroit's problems), they will continue to be ineffective. Drew Stanton had better be ready to take a beating, because with the other two polished turds the Lions have at QB, it won't be long before he sees some snaps. And they haven't really done anything to shore up their line, so welcome to Detroit Calvin and Drew. Hope you like pain and dissapointment.

I think you're wrong on being mad at the Calvin Johnson pick. Yes, 4 of 5 receivers is crazy, but its clear 2 were busts, and we still needed a receiver. Johnson is maybe the best player to come out in years. I think it was smart to nag him.
Still, while I think Millen has actually had a solid offseason (including a bunch of moves on the O Line,) he should have been let go by now. At this point, I hope he never gets let go, becuase it would mean we've gotten good (I can dream, can't I!) the reason he hasn't been let go, is clear: The Fords. 1 playoff win in 50 years. There can only be 1 casue of that length of ineptness. Gotta be the owners.

Detroit plays in a Dome...the only teams that have ever competed at a championship level that played in a Dome have had a passing game...and a passing game takes recievers.
I have grown weary of Lion fans and their second guessing and whines..
actually I am more tuned into pointing a finger at the self-annointed NFL "experts" fueling all of this...clowns like Chris Landry and Mel Kiper..who wish they knew as much as they claim..whose takes are generally wrong ..way more than they are correct...yet never admit it
For once blame the so-called "athletes" that have taken Mr. Ford's money and have acted like Street Trash instead of the professional manner that Matt Millen has exhibited throughout
his entire association with the NFL.

Bill Ford is possibly the worst CEO in the history of corporate America. He's been kicked out of the driver's seat of two companies and overseen one of the most absurd runs of futlity in all of sports (save those morons in Arizona). Just as bad, he gave Millen a much-undeserved contract extension last season.
In short, the Lions will realize what a waste of time and money Milen is just as soon as Bill Ford gets out of the way.

They do have lots to have an excellent time approximately. 31-80 4 - undesirable, undesirable...abysmal checklist. besides the undeniable fact that, i'll pass over his dejected seem while the Lions are dropping as a Packer fan. yet, stable information for Lions followers, little question.

The Ford family will fire Millen when the Explorer is no longer selling or their big SUVs get 150 miles a gallon

I agree with the answer "when the fans stop showing up". This team and Millen have been so bad for so long it is unbelievable their fan base is as big as it is.
