i am a 17 yearold girl;i am in highschool;when i study girls make fun of me;when i get good marks they call me bookworm;so all the time they make me sad.i want to know if the boys are like this too?i mean do you make fun of a boy or a girl if studies well?

Don't worry, hun. They're just gettin' their licks in now because they know that in a few years their lives is what you'll be laughing at. You do the best you can do. Remember, in college things change. People that have to pay for their educations actually take them seriously.
Oh yeah, I forgot to answer the question. Yes, that happens to guys, too. That is by no means a gender specific thing.

No... this may sound cliche but never change because of what people call or think of you, it is appropriate in some cases, but when it comes to studying and making good grades, its some thing good that those who are picking at you don't have.

if your 17 you have far more things to worry about than people making fun of you for being smart. people will always try to bring you down so they feel superior. but i bet when you are of at a nice college and they are stuck at a dead end job they wont ever wanna make fun of you again.

they call u book worm becoz..
they can't study well...
u don't just keep quite
develop some attitude..
so they should be scared of u...

well no actually.. i just treat them like my other buddies.. they study bcos they want to succeed in future.. and i know how it feels like to be so called bullied.. i happened to me also when i'm younger.. but you must be firm with those bullies and stand up 4 yourself..
