help please.. when i reached lavander town and I gave some Rare Candy to my golbat to let evolve because it only needs on more level to evolve into a crobat. and then suddenly it stops even i haven't used the evolution cancel..

you cannot evolve into crobat until after you beat the elite four - the reason is actually because crobat didn't exist in red, blue, and yellow
other than that, yes, it is a friendship evolution, and friendship evolutions CANNOT work until after you beat the elite four, despite what jourdan wrote, as you have already found out

Its a friendship evolution for golbat. Golbat will evolve into crobat when ur friendship is very hi with it. U can tell that he is a good friend to u because he will have higher hit pooints and speed. Use in a lot of battles being the first pokemon to come out. Hope I helped.
