I use a laptop and have just loaded vista onto it now my desktop will not browse and does not open any internet programs.

It says to check my network connection?

How do I get my laptop to recognise my internet service ?

Unplug your Cable / DSL modem overnight and turn it back on in the morning. Reboot and Vista should connect automatically.

If not, call your ISP.

You probably need to load Vista compatible drivers for your network card. Right click computer and select properties, then the hardware manager. Look for items that have e yellow mark. These all need new drivers loaded.

For that please see the bellow steps:
- Click on Start menu
- Click on Settings
-Click on Network Connections
-if there is no Network Connection then just create one
