Hi. I had it done back in 2001. I went from a 54i to a 48B. It was the best thing I ever did. There wasn't much pain. It was a 6 hour surgery, and he took 9 pounds off my chest. When I woke up from the anesthesia I was bound with a ACE wrap, I had 2 drains, and a catheter for urine. I was walking the halls the next day, and was back at work in 3 weeks. Each person is different. I didn't have alot of back pain prior to my surgery, but was suffering from migraine headaches terribly. It was my doctors' suggestion to have the reduction, and amazingly I don't have the migraines as bad. Feel free to email me if I can answer any of your questions. Best of luck to you.

I'm sorry i haven't had the procedure myself but 3 of my friends have gone through it. They said that it really hurts. so don't go into this thinking that it'll be all roses and butterflies. But the benefits and the pain relieved of your back etc. is worth the while. They said it made life so much easier in so many different ways. Ways they didn't even know that it would. It's a better quality of life.

I had it done in Feb 2006 and the only thing I regret is not having it done sooner!

I was out of work for two weeks and slowly eased myself back up to regular activities. You should take off work longer if you are in a very active physical position.

I regained nipple sensation about three months post op (it can take over a year to regain it!).

Final size takes about a year as does the scars to fade (if you put it in sunlight before the scars turn white they will turn permanently red!). Mine are barely visible, you can hardly tell I had surgery.

This site helped me out a lot with my research and before/after surgery:
