In the history of cricket only two bowlers have achieved the feat of taking all the ten wickets in an innings. They are J.C. Laker of England and Anil Kumble of India.
J.C. Laker was the first bowler to claim 10 wickets in an innings when he had taken 10 wickets of Australia in the 2nd innings of 4th Test of Ashes Series 1956 played between England and Australia at Old Trafford, Manchester from 26th to 31st July, 1956.
His bowling figure of that innings were 51.2 overs, 23 Maidens, 53 runs and 10 wickets.
He had claimed 9 wickets in the first innings of the same match with the bowling figure of 16.4 overs, 4 Maidens, 37 runs and 9 wickets.
