XAMPP installation has bundled PHP. How do I install a different version and allow XAMPP to still recognize it

XAMPP uses PHP 5, I would like to use PHP 4. How do I do it?

You have to remove the PHP5 installation and install PHP4. Then change the apache configuration to use php4 (may work as configured I haven't seen XAMPP's configs)
