I want to use a router D-Link DIR-100 at home, but I am not sure, that it will be compatible with my uni-internet.
I have no modem at home. In order to connect to the Internet these parameters need to be configured: 1. static IP, 2. dns-server, 3. gateway.
So, what do you think, can I use this router in this configuration.

If you have the IP, dns, and gateway information you enter those into the routers setup page for WAN/Internet as a "static ip" and your router should work just fine.

If the uni-internet is delivering a private IP like 10.0.0.x or 192.168.x.x you just need to be sure your LAN settings are not in the same IP range as originally issued for the WAN. These are also setup in the routers setup pages.

For a start you need to subscribe to broadband or the router will not work. You will then have an IP address provided by the isp. You pay them extra for a fixed IP. I don't quite see which IP information you are looking for.

Yes..the easiest way the connect to anther computer is through the network connection. That is if you have a usb and ethernet modem, or in your case a router.
