Your question is not clear to me. So far my understanding goes, memory capacity of laptop/Desktop can be increased in 3 ways:
1) by increasing HDD (hard disk) capacity - change the existing HDD with larger capacity
2) increase you RAM capacity - change the RAM with a higher capacity RAM
3) Reset the Virtual memory -
steps:
- Right click on My Computer
- Go to properties
- Go to Advanced
- Go to Performance & Click Settings and go to advanced and click on change and reset you virtual memory from here

1 Add more memory. Check www.crucial.com and run their system scanner (free) program to see what memory chips can be used.
2. Stop extra programs from running automatically - mostly those down by the computer clock.
3. Stop the programs in the Startup folder if possible.
4 Stop any unnesessary Services

Buy a RAM module at your local computer store, then open your laptop's memory compartment, then insert the additional RAM module.
