Yeah, it´s Thin Lizzy who did the original.
Everclear did a good version for the movie "Detroit Rock City".
I heard Thin Lizzy were reforming, without Phil Lynott who died in 1986

Originally,an Irish band called Thin Lizzy,led by bassist/lead singer/songwriter Phil Lynott,who is no longer with us.A good version can be found on "Live and Dangerous"..a double containing a lot of their more commercial tunes.."Dancin' in the Moonlight" (the single) is a favourite of mine..nice sax and guitar.

Its by the same70's band which gave us massive hits like "Dancing in the moonlight" "Renegade" "Killer on the loose" and lots more, THIN LIZZY(Phil Lynott and Gary Moore) Phil Lynott is not among us anymore(R.I.P) Gary Moore is still playing those haunting blues.
