As squid, cuttlefish and octopuses all use colour changes with cuttlefish being the champions at this during the mating season, I would think that all of them see colour very well.

No. Squids can indeed see color. Giant and collosal squids give off a bright glow in the dark depths of the ocean to attract females, and to warn predators.
