hi !!
yes, only if they ring true and don't come across as flattery or an attempt to please.
my teacher in school told me '' you can win the booker prize some day''.
now, that touched me and encouraged me as well.
her faith in me is an encouragement in itself.
when my friends say''your handwriting rocks'',i feel happy.
you know why?
i had the most untidy handwriting in montessori but my father really worked hard on that & here i am.
so when i hear that compliment,i feel proud for my dad.
but compliments like ''you look gorgeous'' & ''what lovely hair'' are dismissed with a polite ''thanks''.
cheers & god bless :)

that is unusual and humorous in a fashion. each and every time people compliment others and their compliment isn't conventional, the guy giving the compliment feels insulted. what's unusual and humorous approximately that's the guy on whom the compliment is being paid. I say this because of the fact the guy who's extremely rejecting the compliment is attempting to pass off being humble or regardless of yet all that is happening is you're casting gentle on the guy's judgment who's providing you with the compliment. think of of it this way the subsequent time you get carry of a compliment and picture proper to the way you're able to desire to be responded to in case you provide a compliment. So smile at them! Say "Why thank you so very lots!" and watch their reaction! i think of you will truthfully take exhilaration in announcing this sooner or later whether you extremely do not consider the compliment.

NO, I usually accept compliments with a red face - I don't do well with them.....
But sarcasm I can handle just fine - that's when I can tell whether someone has a brain or not...

I feel uncomfortable with compliments, but I am grateful, unless I perceive the person has an ulterior motive.

No. I never know what to say. On one hand they are probably just being patronizing, or maybe they want something. And yet if they are being sincere, then Thank You seems a little cocky. So I just smile at them and slip it in again.

i usually try to find the hidden meaning, if there is one, when i get a compliment. usually compliments are about the best feature, everything else isn't 'so great'
its like "i like your outfit" not.. "you look great in your outfit"
