i never got a spare key when i purchased my car originally so i was just wondering apart from going straight to a vauxhall dealership if i can order the key over the net as i'm currently living in Germany!

Try a harware shop that does key cutting for homes often they or locksmiths can do car keys.~~

opal dealers are European vauxhall take the key and the car because some key need to programed because of the built in immobilisers

In the UK it requires sorting out of codes so your immobiliser etc work, and the best bet is the dealers, armed with your V5 and proof of identity. I would imagine your local Opel dealer should be able to help.
