Yes, of course there is. I know that people may assume straight away that one side is too weak or inexperienced compared to the other, and so this imbalanace makes an unfair game. But both sides have got something to gain.
Bangladesh may be the newer team, but they did beat us in the World Cup, which shows that they shouldn't be underestimated so much that people wonder if there is any point in playing them. Secondly, they can gain valuble experience by playing India, can learn so much from snior players and their tactics.
India can gain from this by boosting their ratings and points. Playing games against any country is good practice of the sport at the end of the day, regardless of how good or bad the other team is. And its so important to keep the practice constant. India lost to Bangladesh in the World Cup, so playing against them now is a chance to prove that they're back in form and get their revenge I guess.

My question: Is there any point of having poorer siblings living with parents even though they are over 18 years of age?
Sometimes it is found that the parents who neglected their 'weaker' siblings had to rely on these weaklings.
I thought after one stumble the Indian fans would become modest while doing chest-beating, but it now seems that a few still maintains the 'superiority' complex.
I have no doubt that Indian cricket players are way above those of their Bangladeshi counterparts in every discipline of the game, but that does not allow them to be acting like a SNOB, and they are abiding by this rule of gentlemen's game after the ICC CWC 2007 humiliation.
Could we expect the Indian fans to follow their cricketing heroes’ humbleness?

It is obligatory for all test playing nations to play each other as per the schedule finalised by ICC and as such no country can refuse playing against other country unless there is a valid and justifiable reason for the same.
