No, but it does stop me taking things seriously, which helps sometimes. If someone is sarcastic to me it means they don't really care about whatever it is they are being sarcastic about, and allows me to respond in a similar way.

It sounds more like miserly loves company, so by being sarcastic, you see people down, and it makes you feel good inside, that causes you to think clear!
