This is my system configuration
P4 2.66 Ghz HT,1536 MB DDR1 400 MHz Ram and 240 GB harddrive...128 MB Nvidia AGP....
i tweaked some registry values still i'm not getting aero...can someone help me

You need at least Windows Vista Home Basic, if you have WIndows VIsta starter, then you will not be able to use aero. They say, that with Windows Vista Home Basic you need to configure the registry, that's the only way...

Check you video card against the list:
http://www.nvidia.com/page/technology_vista_home.html to make sure it's compatible.
And read through the article on enabling it at http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/08/16/vista2.html
