It is a format of Apple Coorp, you need Quicktime, but you may also open this with VLC Player, they are both free, but I'd prefer VLC, because it is not as an annoying programm as Quicktime, quicktime starts up everytime with the Operating system and eats a lot of ressources. But Quicktime is the official apple program...

You can also installed QuickTime Alternative, from free-codecs.com, which should allow you to open .mov from most players including WMP, VLC, and MPC
