I used to have a close group of friends, but we drifted away. But me and this girl from the group try to meet up when we can. We recently got together, had lunch, then we decided to watch a movie together, just us. Now, she's always been a friend. Is there such a thing as a friendly date with a girl? By the way, i don't know why, but I paid for her movie ticket. Does that mean something about us? haha

It will remain friendly as long as one of you doesn't develop feelings for the other. It will become awkward if that happens, but if it doesn't then you two can easily just be friends. Hopefully she offers to pay for you next time so that you're even. It won't mean that it's a real date, just that she's returning the favor. Make sure you don't pay again though unless she treats you once, or you want to start taking it further than just friendship.

Dude this is a F'd situation second time ive had to explain this today. Because personaly it happened to me today. To girls you can go on a date and make it an official date and it just be a freind thing. With guys theirs no such thing the term date means that its going to have the possibility to lead to other place. But be careful dont push the fact that you to went on a date to much because she could just spin around and say were just freinds and make you out to feel like an asshole for trying more. Women are tricky dont read to much into it until something actually does happen. Youll know when to make your move if there ever is one. Good luck

There are alot of factors to consider. Would you pay for one of your male friends? Do or will you take turns paying? Sometimes you just don't have the cash or they don't but you really want someone to go with. Have you and her talked about the situation? Do you really just want to be friends? Being of the opposite sex shouldn't stand in the way of friendships. Most of my friends are of the opposite sex-they generally don't want to borrow your clothes and stuff. Some people get along and if your comfortable together then be comfortable and speak with her. Maybe she has designs on you? You'll never know unless you ask. Good luck, a friend is very precious gift.

Yes there is, when you decide to keep it that way. But what I read between the lines is that you might be feeling more for her and are wondering if you can keep it a friendly date when you feel that way? it is a choice. ;)

oh ya friendly dates are great for women. You pay and she doesn't have to do anything she can even meet other men while out with you.
