The egg because the DNA gets passed from the former species to make a chicken. Adam and Eve were made out of dirt. Whats logical evolution or creationism?

Neither. Either you believe they popped into existence at the same time (God created them) or then you believe they evolved and neither of them came first still.
The reason?
Simple an egg can't come before the animal that produced it because it is a way to reproduce, and you have to have something to reproduce first. But the chicken and the egg are not the first animal and egg in the world. So first you have simple life which has no egg to reproduce it simply splits. But as life evolves and gets more complicated so does the way it reproduces, so over time both the animal and what will be the egg evolve together, this happened long before the chicken or the chicken egg came into being.
So the answer for all animals and all eggs are neither, because both the animal and the egg evolved together and finally got to a point where they would be called "egg". Now of course if you are talking about any egg, not one that will produce a chicken then the egg was first, and it was of a different animal, and over time it evolved into what you call a chicken and it that point the egg's name became a chicken's egg.

Here is the answer to that age old question: The chicken and the egg were in bed together, the chicken was kicked back against the the headboard to the bed smoking a cigarrette. The egg is laying there looking pissed off, it grabs the sheet, rolls over and gives the chicken a disgusted look and says,"Well, I guess we know the answer to THAT question".

If you believe in evolution it started with the amoeba & evolved to what is known as the chicken .
If you believe in a higher power it was the chicken.
So whatever you believe the animal that layed the egg came first it either evolved into a chicken or was created.
What ever you believe in, just be thankful & enjoy breakfast whatever you eat, with your family or friend (s).

To myself personally, you have two sides to your question. Say, strolling through farm, you saw an egg. There, egg comes first. Or chicken for that matter. All depends what you see first. Get my drift? Good.
