I think you have the words wrong. There is a song "So Help Me Jesus, My Soul's In Your Hand". Could that be what you are looking for?

Possum Kingdom by the Toadies
It's about a lake called Possum Kingdom
People were found murdered there, and it was believed that the murderers were "vampires". The song is sung from the perspective of a "vampire."

I believe the first fellow is right. "Possum Kingdom", by the Toadies. The lyric you're thinking (if I'm not mistaken) is at the end of the chorus:
"I will treat you well
My sweet angel
So help me Jesus . . ."
At the end of the song when that line is repeated for the last time, he just trails off, repeating 'Jesus . . . Jesus . . .'
