A lot of liberals want freedom FROM religion. Political correctness has nothing to do with free speech. All "political correctness" means is that what you said is deemed inappropriate in society. NOT that you don't have the freedom to say it.

Liberals are not against freedom of religion...we are just tired of having every religion try to push their beliefs on everyone else. What if I tried to push my belief of pantheism on you and insisted I be allowed to teach it to all the children in school in place of social studies? What if I made sure that the only things celebrated were related to Pantheism?
You are free to be whatever religion you want...just don't shove it on others....that is the freedom all people in this country have a right to.

Wrong again. Liberals are for freedom of religion, just keep it out of our government. You cannot have religious tests for office and you cannot get government to promote one religion over another. It's in the constitution.

Nonsense on all 3 counts. Freedom of speech potential being allowed to assert what you like in all fairness, no longer having human beings accept as true with something you're saying, or no longer having all of us ever be indignant by using something you're saying. it is not any variety of authoritarian administration to, dunno, no longer elect to take heed to racist jokes. in case you have been imprisoned for it by using the government, you will have a factor. i don't recognize Ruth Perry, yet does no longer have faith her or Wikipedia to be authoritative in this factor. I bear in innovations the radical left interior the Sixties, and not purely did we no longer use the term "political correctness", yet once you hear to old speeches by using those radicals, you will wince at their political incorrectness. The term got here into conventional use many years later.

No liberal is against freedom religion. Most PEOPLE, regardless of party, don't like to be hounded with something they don't believe in. If you want to believe in it, fine. Just don't try shoving down other peoples throats. I don't know why I am even answering this, as you already know the answers you are looking for.

I'm against:
Government telling me what religion I can or can't be, that I must have a religion, that my morals should equal theirs, that my child should pray in school... or anything like that.
Keep the government out of my life. Oh wow that's a conservative idea. Too bad I haven't seen a conservative politician thinking that way in decades.

I'm not against freedom of religion. Anybody can believe/practice whatever religion they want. However, no one should have the right to tell me what religion to follow, or to make their religious beliefs into law.

I don't think liberals are against freedom of religion, but I think atheists are against forcing prayer in public schools. I personally think prayer should be allowed in schools, but not forced. And F*** political correctness.

I am for free speech.
I am for freedom of religion.
I also dislike PC crap.
So what exactly is it that you're whining about?
Or do you just ask questions for no other purpose than to use them as false accusations?
