If f(x)=2 and f(x)=x^2+5x+6, then x^2+5x+6=2

x^2+5x+4=0

(x+4)(x+1)=0

x=-4, -1

x^2 + 5x + 6 = 2
x^2 + 5x + 4 = 0
(x + 1)(x + 4) = 0
x = - 1,- 4

x^2+5x+6=2
so
x^2+5x+4 = 0
so
(x+4)(x+1) = 0

so your answers are -1 and -4

OMFG!!! DO YOU OWN DAMM HOMEWORK!!!! IF YOU ARE TOO LAZY TO PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS THEN YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME TO DO THIS!!!

just in case you are not doing you homework and really want to know....:

if f(x)=2 then substitute "f(x)" for 2

so you then get
2=x^2+5x+6 subtract 2 from both sides
x^2+5x+4=0 factor
(x+4)(x+1)=0 solve for zeros
x=-4,-1 solution

If your f(x) = 2 You Just plug in the value of f(x) into the x of the equation. The other people might have not seen that you said f(x) = 2. They are wrong.

2^2 + 5(2) + 6
4 + 10 + 6
20
