This is all part of the maturing process.
And by saying that I'm not implying you are immature.
I'm 57, and still have alot to learn.
We continue learning all our lives.
Our perspective changes.
Hopefully we learn from our mistakes and don't repeat them.
But if we do, we need to get on with our lives and forgive ourselves.
We are only human, after all.

Oftentimes we are too focused at an idealistic object that we forget to appreciate what we actually have. In a way, it's actually a good realization of reality. It means the world is not perfect and you don't always have a CHANCE at an opportunity that may change your life, wether it be better or worse.

absence makes the heart grow fonder,sometimes when my wife leaves for work i get this real lonesome sad feeling even i know she will be home in a while i still miss her terriblely

ya can't miss something that's still there,it's not until it's gone that it's missed as you remember what it was like then.As for me it ended up for the better,you miss it at first,but you will get over it.There was a reason that it is lost.
