i had a car that"s brand toyota corolla,i got matter about the auto transmission gearbox,my gear box cant change transmission while it arrive on 90km/h, usually it will automatically change gear when it reaches 90km/h and the RPM is around 2000/min. The gear will not change now although reach 100km/h. The gear oil has been replaced and there is some iron powder sticking around the oil panel in which the old gear oil that I released out. I have washed the gear oil filter and it is not much dirt. The problem is not being solved. Is there any solutions? My engine model is 4A-FE, Trans./AXEL A240L/04A, Oil meter reading shown Dexron 2.

I think you have a vacuum vale problem in the sump of the gear box or the vacuum tube from the engine to the gear box is leaking.~~

sounds like a relay that alerts the computer of the rpms of the motor that makes it change gears. It is probably a relay or a speed sensor. I am sure you can take it to autozone and they can hook up the diagnosis machine (for free) and they will be able to tell you the code that shows up. That is the cheapest way to find out. Some are easy to change and some are difficult.

It is not the transmission fluid because the tranny would slip or jerk all the way through all the gears. Good luck

so sowwy, i no understand u well.. but..Why u change trans oil? Was it pink no stink? Or Stinky trans oil smell like burnt?
If no, then U change because u tink it help shift? noooooo
so sowwy, prease, metal shavings no big deal average, normal. Your trying to troubleshoot why you cant get the car into 5th or overdrive right? Sounds like faulty relay from tranny. rots of ruck!
