Not since Bush first got himself appointed to the office of president by the Supreme Court. Both elections were rigged. He has made our freedoms a laughable matter.

(varies with the president..) As close as any other country. What countries have what we have? i mean, seriously, why would mexicans be immigrating here illegally and legally if we didnt have something they didnt. Land of the free = bill of rights, representatives and a "republic"... we are virtually free to do as we please as long as its "true" -- except in the face of the patriot act... thats just retarded, dont even get me started on that. Home of the brave? we have the best army in the world which is made up of volunteers. People willing to risk their lives to save others...thats bravery... ill cut it short --so yes we are really the land of the efree and the home of the brave.

I have no doubt that we are the home of the brave, just look at the young men and women who are protecting us, risking everything to protect what is left of our "freedom". I myself question the land of the free. I think our gov. gets involved in to many of our personal issues in todays world. That doesn't make me unpatriotic, I love my country, I just don't always agree with the people that are running it.

I thought we were but I'm not so sure. Our ancestors came here when America belonged to the Indians (I guess you could say they barged in on them!), cheated them out of thier land and took over. Millions of soldiers have died in wars trying to make this the land of the free. When oppressed people try to come here and be free, they are kicked out. Is that what all our military men died for? I don't think so. I think they wanted America to welcome everyone. It is my understanding that that is the reason the statue of liberty is there, to greet newcomers to this wonderful land of the free. That's just my opinion, mayby I'm wrong.

not if listen to George bush. He and the powers that be have got everyone in the U.S. that scared by telling you that the whole world is out to get you.....and any who refuses to believe what they say or oppose their way of thinking is considered anti American. How paranoid are your security forces.....they thought that our quarter with the red poppy was spy device. Our government could barley afford to make the quarters, let alone putting electronic devices in them. (someone in the CIA watched one too many episodes of Get Smart)
