I offered someone Edgar Renteria, Jason Marquis, and Gary Matthews Jr. for Jose Reyes and Salomon Torres.
Good trade or not? I think I did a good job in trading Marquis while he's overperforming, because his split stats show he doesn't do well late. Renteria was doing well, but I needed SB and AVG over HR and RBI. Matthews Jr. has been on a hot streak, but I don't expect it to last, and Torres is a good closer, and gets saves which I need.

You are brilliant! Masterful sell job to pull this deal off. One of the best lopsided deals I've seen in a long time (now pray it doesnt get vetoed). You really arent asking if it was a good deal are you? Everyone knows it was a great deal for you...an elite SS (mid season drafts likely will have hime picked 1st or 2nd overall nearly every time) and you got him to kick in a solid closer as welll....for 3 average fantasy players at best! All I can say is congrats....you just mugged the guy!

If you pulled that trade off, congrats. Reyes is the real deal... everyone you traded away is very replaceable. It's almost always a good bet to trade away quantity for quality. Absolutely right with Marquis - buy low, sell high.

WHy the hell would anyone trade Reyes for those bums? You got to be pretty naive to even offer such a trade.

if you can acquire Reyes, i say you made a good trade- especially if you're in a keeper league.
