I wish to download google video (*.gvi) to my computer.

find the video u want to download after that it gives u an option to download it but it actually download a very small file which u can open only using google player which now plays the video.
now this file contain all the things....
just open this file using notepad/wordpad or textpad(not by google player)
search for url word in this file which will be followed by a long url . copy this url and paste this in any browser address bar.
in few seconds ur video will start to downlaod as .avi format

See most of the google videos are meant for the on line viewing only some of the videos can only be downloaded.

HERE IS THE SECRET WAY,
first select the desired vedio & play it.
While playing, right click on the screen of the player
go to properties & copy the link from it.
If you have any download manager then paste the link in it, or browes the link in mozilla firefox. It will automaticly asked you where to download it.
But it will more better that you download google vedio player.
