My purpose is to get this right. Then I get to go home.

A long time ago I thought that love was something that you reserved for some special set of people that you had judged worthy of it.

After a while I got to thinking about what Jesus had said about turning the other cheek and loving our neighbor I put the two together and realized that he had made no exceptions in these statements. It became obvious to me that he intended that we exclude no one from the love that we are supposed to be giving. I started thinking about my idea of love and suddenly realized that I had not been loving anyone at all. I had simply been judging everyone and every thing.

Judging someone worthy of love is not love, it is only judgment. I actually started to cry when I realized this. I saw just how much of my life I had wasted being judgmental, thinking of myself as a Christian, when I was actually doing just the opposite of what Jesus had asked us to do.

I thought about the verse judge not lest ye be judged, and I understood it for the first time.

I realized that I have a lot of catching up to do. So many opportunities were wasted. I now try to apply the love that I have for the world in a universal way like Jesus asks us to do.

If I start to feel afraid and think that I see someone that I should not love because of something I have thought or heard I try to catch my mistake as soon as possible. I tell myself that I have forgot the truth and have fallen for the same old trick that had cost me so many opportunities to be loving in the past. The horror of this realization is often all that is necessary to bring me back to my senses and make me drop the judgmental nonsense I was thinking.

I still have a lot to learn about love, but at least I’m making progress.

To begin defining is easy and everyone who reaches an adult age does so in my opinion.... the trouble then starts.... life moves fast and there are so many twists and turns that it becomes impossible for us to remain fixed with any idea, purpose or path..... we then begin to see different purposes at different times and circumstances and like our life, our purpose of life also becomes highly dynamic... perhaps by the time we reach quite an advanced age, we realise what is the real purpose and by then, may be we have already deviated a lot. It is indeed a highly hide and seek game..... no wonder I get a different answer every time I ask myself what is the purpose of life!!!!!! Finally life only can tell us whatever it ought to be.

Life is definition less. Life can be lived in any manner. In fact one cannot define life and start living like that. There could be principles in life, and utmost care to live like that, but that would not suffice. If life is breathing, then life can be manipulated. But just breathing is not life. There is only purpose of objective living. Not live like an animal, but to reproduce oneself in a better and more evolved state. A better looking more intelligent, more cultured off-spring. The only purpose as far subjectivity goes is to 'KNOW THYSELF'. Here some freedom is available. Defining life to achieve, men, matters, women, wealth, fame name, power etc, are illusory self projections. Dropping doership and enjoyership is the perfect way of living.

Yes, I have begun defining my life's purpose..My aim is to find out from where I have come and how to transcend this world of birth,old age,disease and death...Our lifetimes is just a bubble in this cosmic ocean and until we make such enquiries we are not in the domain of human beings...My aim in life is to learn how to serve others because its only in this attitude of service that we can find happiness and not by seeking to enjoy ourselves in this world which everyone is trying to do...And yes we can see everyone tries to be happy but no one is happy because we are trying to be happy by the wrong way...Any one can experience it...Just try to serve others and God selflessly with devotion..You will experience a Real Joy..saints and sages throughout the age are a testimony to it....And find such people...You will discover your life's aim and its purpose which will be everlasting and joyful...

Begun? I have composed and reevaluated and changed my life's purpose for decades. It is very important, I agree with you, to always have your purpose in mind throughout your life otherwise you begin to have a life without meaning.

Many others would wish to argue my points but, I will answer this as well as is possible. The god you know,the great salvation you know, is there in your destiny, only because you choose to believe it. On this plane of existence, there are different rules than on the other two or three realms. God is the false symbol of heaven because one man chose to believe in the lies of a prophet. Because of this he tried to spread it to another, asking what there purpose is. This new believer keeps the chain going, so in reality, God exists only because people chose to make him exist, none of these people have learned the truth...yet. Don't fret however, not all is grim, heaven and hell, in some shape, still exist, but I will explain that. These two celestial bodies are not created by us, or by any deity because they are too true, too essential to existence, nothing can have one dimension. I have no where near the intelligence to explain it properly, but I will try to give examples of the realms. In the middle, there is our plane, our home. It is the choosing realm, we are our own fate here, no matter how many argue the point, everything is our choice, although that choice can only be done without breaking the limits of its existence.[you can't automatically say you will build a quantumn reactor and just do it right now, the limit of that choice is just to work towards that goal.] In the choosing realm, we are the body of existence,[we is any form of sentience and possibly otherwise throughout the universe] we create and destroy what lies before us, at least in time. The choosing realm has no effect on the other realms. The realm of salvation is the heavenly body all seek, but none understand, we hardly understand our own as it is, but I will try to tell my comprehension. Within the heavenly realm, our choices never conflict with anything, they simply become what they are meant to be. In that realm, that quantumn reactor that has to be studied...is simply there when chosen to be, without having to follow through to the limit of that choice, because the choices made in the heavenly body are limitless they have no boundaries. The heavenly body has influence over ours, the figure of all things that was first in this heavenly plane chose he wanted a passage to the third realm, hell, our realm is filled with what it is because the choice mad e had no limits, regardless of wether or not there is a scientific explanation to ther beginning of all things, science is there only because we chose it. To say the least, heaven is a place with limitless choices. In hell, there is no choice, there is no action, there is oblivion, a state of eternal unconsciousness, never even realized, it is an endless void filled with nothing, and always will be. Hell is LIMIT. It has no effect on us, but it is the source of our fear. We affect it.
If you choose to go to the realm of limit, then you do not, but if you choose to go to the realm of limitless choice, then you can choose to do so, sometimes you choose to remember past lives, other times you may have chosen to be a completey new person who makes different kinds of choices with new memories.

At well past middle age, in some small ways. Mostly, I am coming to the startling realization that it just is not about me. If I am not making something better then I am missing the mark. I want to leave this world with something that made a difference for good, not evil.
