yes, anything can be found on your hard drive even if you delete cookies, history and internet cache, or merely delete any file. this is because data on hard drives (where the computer stores all information) is not erased until some other data is written over it. so yeah, it's still recoverable unless you use a special program to securely erase it. what these programs basically do is erase your file, and then cover it up by writing a bunch of dummy blank information on top of where that file physically was on the hard disk.
there are many free ones that can do this for you.
Good luck.

When you go to delete your browsing history, make sure you're checking all the boxes, including your password memory. This clears the cache completely and gets rid of all cookies that are storing your history. Disk Cleanup also works great and clears a lot of other junk on your computer that you don't need. If you don't know how to use this, click start, go to Accessories, click System Tools if it's not already under your list of Accessories. Click all the boxes and clean it all out.

They are still listed in your cookies!!! To delete these right click on Internet Explorer and select properties , this should bring up your Internet properties. From there click on delete browsing history and at the bottom select delete all. This should take care of any immediate threats to your secret sites!!!

All you really need to do, is go into your privacy data, most likely under tools, and clear your history, and cookies. Plus, deleting your "movie previews" by putting them into the recycle bin and emptying it would help too. Also, go into your Windows Media Player (I'm assuming this is what you use?), and clear out all of your deleted files. Not that I see why anybody would really dig that hard to find out what you do.

Go to internet options. Delete your "cache", delete your cookies, delete your temporary internet files. If you're REALLY paranoid, then back-up your documents and pictures and reformat your entire operating system (put the startup disks in and reboot it). If the sites weren't child porn, then you should be fine anyway. You did nothing legally wrong. Just don't let people fuss around on your private computer. Put passwords on things and when you let them use it, set up a "guest" log on.

Yes. There are so many ways to track your activity that it is unlikely that you can cover all your tracks. Better to change your behavior. The act of attempting to cover your tracks can clue in an astute detective. However, you probably aren't really worried about Homeland Security or other government spys, are you?

Given the sophistication and skill of the programmer who desires to know this information, no material is ever totally deleted. If your situation is severe enough you might consider changing out your hard drive, this is a relatively simple and inexpensive option. Take your old drive and physically destroy it.

Yes. When windows deletes a file (history list) it doen't really delete it. It just changes the name. So you can use a speacal computer program to retrive ANYTHINg ever deleted on a computer. (As long as it is not overwritten)

If someone wants it bad enough, they'll find a way.
Try download.com. Search for something like "evidence eliminator" or "cover internet tracks".
