I think the funniest argument that any liberal has when in discussion with a conservative that supports the war in Iraq is the, "If you support the war, then why aren’t you over there fighting," argument. Instead of actually arguing on the reasons to go to war or the benefits/consequences of the war, liberals just throw cop out arguments at conservatives, or maybe just call them "racist", "Bigot", or "Nazi". I assume it is because they are backed into a corner and cannot find any rational explanation for their reasons besides silly knee-jerk emotions to war and many social issues.

By your reasoning, the only people allowed to comment on the space program, should be astronauts. The only people allowed to comment on the enforcement of the law should be policemen. The only people who are allowed to comment on health care should be doctors. This argument is absurd. Everyone citizen has a right to support or condemn national policy. Please, enough with the cop out arguments and... Argue.

Mac Ray --- and soldiers are the ones that should actually be in war. So, accordingly soldiers should be the only ones who can comment about war? Which they support...by a massive majority. I do not see how your statements effect my argument. The argument has no merits, it is a logical fallacy.

I got called and I Quote "A Chickenhawk, homosexual right wing Christian Wacko, who sleeps with Jerry Falwell", because I my only suport of the troops is that I serve on the Board of the local V.A. Hospital. We raise money from the "Evil Corporations" to provide Medical and Mental assistance to Veterans of 3 wars. We try to make up for the funding lost when "Someone" in the 1990's cut the Military budget to the bone, which included VA Funding.
Interesting, the guy who called me that goes by the name "Chickenhawk" on Y/A.

Wow. !!! I think "Chickenhawk" is back... Using the Y/A name, "Incognito". How ya doing partner???

It is not just liberals who have a problem with the war in Iraq and it takes more to be a conservative than just saying you support the war in Iraq. You must not have been paying attention if the only arguments against this war you have heard are silly knee-jerk emotions. Death, destruction, squandering of resources, misplaced priorities, incompetence, lies, deceit and treachery are a few good reasons to question this war and its handling.

The chickenhawk argument has some merit but it is not a major point. The fact that people who have never put themselves in harm's way are not only disregarding the counsel of those who have but are also making disastrous decisions is important.

And yes, as an open society we should welcome comments from everyone on all the topics you mentioned. However, astronauts are the ones who should actually be in space, policemen are the ones who should enforce the laws, and doctors are the ones I want to provide my health care. Is it too much to ask that the guy who had "other priorities" when he had the opportunity to serve not be given carte blanche to send others off to a war filled with missteps?

that is magnificent! Its the old people who are not afraid to communicate out that have some particularly sturdy factors. there replaced into an old congressman that replaced into between the very very few that spoke out against Bush and the conflict in IRAQ decrease back in the early days after 9/11 - or perhaps he replaced right into a senator - "chook" replaced into his final call i think of. He suggested some particularly sturdy issues, yet no person listened. and that i think of Lee right this is making some particularly particularly sturdy factors!! people are outsourcing each and every thing oversees. united statesa. is starting to be further and further based on different international places with all this outsourcing - its very confusing to stumble on something to purchase made in North united statesa.. you won't have the ability to be patriotic whether you prefer to be. i will see clientele desirous to keep funds, and why could I care the place something is made? however the corporation leaders and the political leaders could comprehend extra desirable. united statesa. grew to become great via having the flexibility to make issues, and comprehend united statesa. is letting all of us else make issues for them. try to locate something made in united statesa.. Never used that argument because most of the time it is stupid. If you want argument then here you go. First of all there was little to no terrorist activity coming from Iraq before we invaded. Not even the CIA would back that up but that didn't stop the current administration from using it as a reason to go over there. Okay so now we are over there and now there are terrorists. Terrorists who start relentlessly attacking us every time we talk about leaving. Now you may think the goal of terrorists is to attack the United States and kill it's citizens. No. There stated purpose is to bankrupt the United States. Why, because a country without money fails every time. Yes they seek to destroy us but to do this they cannot rely on man power. They cannot win by simply blowing enough of us up to make us say okay you can have it.

As for leaving Iraq immidiatley no matter what... I also happen to disagree with that one. Making the Iraqi government do there job or leave them to whatever hyenas pick up the mess, okay. I have always been for personal responsibility and if they won't stop bickering and start passing laws to help there country pull out of the chaotic segragated mess that it is in right now then why should we keep dying for them?
