Normally in big chains, bartenders remain in the bar room and room service delivers anything to guests. Most hotels have a very strict policy about employees being on guest floors if they are not authorised to be there. Bar tenders would be dismissed if caught on a guest floor without official permission from the management.

Hotels usually have a bell boy or valet (room service) to deliver drinks to guests hotel rooms.
If you are having a special function in your room, and would like a bartender, you have to speak with banquets and catering to book one. I am pretty sure that you also need a liquor permit, but that might depend where you live.
Full service hotels usually have a bar or a lounge.

Yes full service hotels do have bars, and room service can bring the drinks up to you. I have some hotels where I stay that will actually leave me some beer as a gift when flight delays keep me from arriving before they close.

I was a hotel bartender. I would send my cocktail waitress to the room if it was a couple. If it was a guy or guys, I'd ask them if they wanted to go, but if not Room service took over.
Room service usually intercepted the call, but sometimes people would call directly to us or set it up at the bar ahead of time.
I have been know from time to time to take a drink myself. especially if it was a woman (wink wink......... Penny!! if your out there, I miss ya. I've got a bottle o grey goose with your name on it!!!!)
yup he's right. I had to be sneaky sneaky, but I had already befriended the security guards.
oh and only if I had a backup bartender there and it was slow.
HA I even had one girl haning at the bar till we closed, we closed early (we both already knew what was going to happen) So I asked her to go with me to the bar I always went to and pa ding It was a fun ride home!!!

maximum lodges have bars, no longer the lodge room. in case you order a drink from room provider, the bartender makes the drink an a waiter brings it on your room. Rooms now and returned have a "mini bar" that's a style of snacks and beverages (which incorporate alcohol) which, while ate up, is extra in all the bill at time of checkout.

Only if it is a tiny/private hotel bar, and/or the bartender is also in room service.
So, it is probably safe to say, NOT LIKELY AT ALL.
Why do you want the bartender in your room?

Bartenders do not bring drinks, but you can order alcohol or beers and wines from room service and make your own drinks.
