Can your spouse tell that your pregnant when having sex?

I have heard a man can tell if a woman is pregnant b/c it feels different while having sex. I guess if your swollen? I wanted to surprise my hubby with the news on fathers day....

We have 2 children already but he has never said anything about it feeling different w/my other pregnancies.

My husband always said he could tell. In fact, he once told me I was pregnant before I even knew it just because of the way it felt! It wasn't a matter of being swollen, but I guess the pH changes in your body and he said it was more of a slight burning or tingling sensation. It wasn't unpleasant or painful he said ... just different.

I have 3 children and not one time has my husband ever commented about it feeling different.
I good way to surprise him would be to leave a present (the positive test wrapped in a box with a bow) in his car on Father's Day morning. I assume that you don't have any children yet so he wouldn't expect a gift, and probably wouldn't even be thinking about Father's Day much. You could also have it delivered to him on Father's Day, you don't have to pay a courier if you could get one of the older neighbor kids or some other person that he wouldn't recognize to knock on your door that morning and say something like, "Expedited delivery for Mr. Bob Jones."

If its early days then there isn't going to be any noticeable swelling to give you away, however there is a process where "down there" (the labia) changes colour, due to the pregnancy hormones - for some its browner (darker), and for fairer it can appear blueish or purplish. This is nature's way of signaling to a prospective mate that the deeds been done. And if he looks, he may see the colour change and comment on it. Doctors can confirm a pregnancy by this change from around 5 weeks.
So be aware he may know somethings up.

Being a married father of four, I can attest that I could only tell in the later stages, like the third trimester. Before that, I don't recall ever being able to "tell".

If you are trying to surprise him, feel free to do what ever you want before Father's Day.
