I know I should not be surprised by this type of ignorance, but it continues to astound me nevertheless.
Warren Jeffs is not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We believe in obeying the law. Jeffs was arrested and convicted in a court of law and we believe in sustaining the laws that put him there.
The US government did not force the LDS church nor can it force any church to change its beliefs. That goes against the fundamental principles of separation of church and state. Furthermore, polygamy has been practiced by many Old Testament prophets who were called of God. It is God who permits polygamy at times, not man. If you have an issue with it, take it up with him.
You are asserting that Romney wants a harem of wives which is libelous and utterly unfounded. It is also bearing false witness according to God's law.
Fundamental to our religion is Jesus Christ, our Savior.

Why would he free the prophet of the FLDS church when he belongs to the LDS church?
Mitt Romney has said that polygamy is a horrible thing, I watched him on the news saying similar if not the exact same words. The fundamental teachings have been changed, if you ask a Mormon they will say because times change and through a modern day prophet God can reveal what the LDS church should follow and practice.
The Mormon Christ? The FLDS do not call themselves Mormons, and neither to LDS or RLDS, only the LDS are truly considered Mormons. The LDS churches prophet is Gordon B Hinckley, a man of one wife. Maybe you should do some more research before you go around stating that Warren Jess is the Mormon Christ. that's pretty funny that you think that.

The "fundamental teaching" of our church does NOT say that anyone should have many wives. When our church DID practice plural marriage, in the 19th century, most men who DID have more than one wife, had only two, or at the most, three. Most men, I am thinking, would never be able to afford a "harem" of wives. Even Mitt Romney.
No, he won't free Jeffs. The man is sick.

maximum unlikely. Warren Jeffs is a member of a fundamentalist cult. Mitt Romney is a Mormon, that's a mainstream faith. in keeping with risk a splash orthodox for my tastes, yet mainstream in spite of the actuality that.

He will do whatever the Prophet of the Church tells him to do. If we elect Romney, we actually elect President Gordon B. Hinckley in the state of Utah who runs the Mormon Church. A very rich and insane thing to do. This country will be run by the most racist individuals on the planet, not withstanding their belief in polygamy, and there is no such thing as a moderate mormon. He is a follower, and will do as he is told, as the prophets pray and get their guidance from above, and he believes they are right and in touch with god.

I don't know. Although I am a Democrat who is not religious, I do respect other peoples religious beliefs, although I don't think it should have as big a place in politics as it does.
