You are entitled to a lunch break if you work eight hours, however, that can be denied if you are able to eat while you work. Convenience store employees, for example, are not required to be given breaks. Neither are restaurant employees, however, you must be paid for every hour you work.

I work from 7 am til 3:30 pm, but get paid for only 8 hours because I'm allowed a 30 minute lunch. In your case, you would only work from 7 am til 3 pm, and get paid for eight hours if you can eat while you work.

It's your own fault if you don't take a break. You're required by law to take at least two 15 minute breaks and one 30-45 minute lunch in a day's work.

Talk to your managers instead of just complaining. I doubt they just 'blow you off' - 'cause In my last job, we were required to take our break because the corperate's who paid us would have serious problems from the government if they found out we were being worked with no break.

If you and your friends feel like you're being 'used' --- get together as a group work force and have a civil meeting with your manager/boss. That's the only way you can really tell if things will turn out for the better, or if you're going to have to take them to court.

The rules about breaks vary from state to state. Depending on the size of resteraunt (number of full time employees), the owner could be in trouble. Check with the GA department of labor, they should have a website somewhere under www.georgia.gov

By law you are required to have a break. Iw ould talk with other employees and have a meeting to discuss where you stand and talk as a collective group to discuss this situation with your employer.
