my friendies are always fighting about that. one thinks snape is evil and one is sure he is good... what do u think and why?

i think that snape is evil because he is a deatheater and he killed dumbledore. has snape had ever proved that he is ever been good at all

I hope he's on Dumbledore's side! I think he is and that everything he's done has been under Dumbledore's orders. The books always seem to point out to him being extremely evil and out to get Harry but every book we've found out that he's been ok (book 1- we thought Snape was going to kill Harry but then found out he was actually saving him etc.) Therefore, I'm hoping its been the same in book 6- everything points to him being evil... so maybe he won't be!

I think he's good.
He's tried to save Harry on numerous occassions, plus I think JKR made a point of making us feel sorry for him by showing how he was bullied at school and seemingly at home.
Look at Lucius Malfoy, Voldemort and even Peter Pettigrew has she done anything to make them seem sympathetic? No!
So I'm going for being ultimately on the side of good!

i am sure that he isnt evil.maybe i dont want to believe it! lol
well, truth is that i am almost certain that he is spying on the death eaters and killed dumbledore because the last one asked him to do it..
