Interesting fact? Try this.
When you farm and you lose your fences in a flood every year it causes a lot of trouble to reestablish the boundaries of your field. Solution? Invent geometry and then trig to record the fence line from a position that would NOT be washed away by a flood. Like if you had a field near the Nile river.

I would look up spherical trigonometry--not many people know very much about this but it is very interesting.
