I saw Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn in Dothan, AL back around 1979.. I saw Kris Kristoferson in Monroe, LA around 1974 or 1975. I saw Johnny Cash at a Billy Graham Crusade in Charlotte, NC about 1996. I've been to some of the larger nightclubs in Louisiana and saw Billy Joe Royal performing a couple of times. I think I saw Alabama at a night club in Alabama before they got famous. Joe Stampley played at my high school in Louisiana in 1969 with a band called the Uniques before he went solo.

Ray Price, George Jones x3, Conway Twitty x2, Loretta Lynn x2, John Conlee, Hank Williams Jr., Freddy Fender, Charlie Daniels, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson. All of these concerts were seen in either LA or TX. I thoroughly enjoyed all of them, however, the most entertaining was Charlie Daniels.

I was at the Willie Nelson show (I believe in 1983) when they had a live feed for the Grammys for his nomination of "You're Always On My Mind". Also saw Tom T. Hall amongst other stars at the Texas Prison Rodeo back in the mid 80's. Saw Eddie Rabbit in my home town.

And Alabama 3 times.

George Jones in Peoria, Il. I think late 80"s. He was in a rented black bus and a U-haul. He was on one of his many come back tours.

Barbara Mandrell, Peoria, Il, 1980's

Alabama, Peoria, St. Louis, Peoria, Peoria!!!

Hawkshaw Hawkins, Jean Shepard, and a very young Loretta Lynn , Monticello, Il. late 60's

Hank Thompson, Hank Snow, Skeeter Davis, and a very young Waylon Jennings, late 60's Peoria, Il.

Have been to the Opry in the old Reiman 3 times, and to the "new" Opry 3 or 4 times. Saw many great stars there.

I got to go see Loretta Lynn with my Mom and Dad. I don't know how old I was, I was still fairly young but she was my Dads all time favorite singer. My little sister is even named after her. I have also seen Charlie Pride, also a long time ago. I've also seen Dolly Parton, Crystal Gayle, George Jones.

I saw Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers perform together in Dallas, oh, maybe fifteen years ago. THey were both great, but Dolly really stole the show. WHat a superb performer and delightful lady!
