This trust is set to terminate when I reach the age of 25.Due to setbacks I have had to rely on this money to make ends meet.My aunt is controlling this money as the trustee.Sometimes she is not available when I need to get a hold of her and its causing problems. How can I put this so I can persuade her to give me the rest of that money?

Whoever set the trust up to hold onto it until you were 25 might have known you well, and wanted to protect you so you wouldn't run thru it all while you were younger.

Why not go out and earn that amount of money and prove to your aunt that you are worthy of handling it! Get a second job! Work a double shift! Whoever set up that trust, trusted your aunt to handle it! The word "persuade" shouldn't be in your dictionary! Just get a second job and be very responsible with your earnings! Your aunt is smarter than you think!

You cant. She was setup as the trustee because you could not be trusted with the money yourself. Or because you were too young.

I am sure if you had a true "need" she would give it to you.... she just thinks you are going to blow the money on bubblegum.

So, why dont you write down your budget, and PROVE to her, on paper, why you need the money.
