WOW -- 15 pounds?!? She deserves a medal or something.
My daughter was 9 lbs, 7 oz, and delivered vaginally. I'm due to give birth to her little brother in a few weeks and I am a little nervous (ok, terrified) about what he is going to weigh!!!

My first daughter was 8 lbs., 8 ozs., the second was 8 lbs even, and my third daughter was a whopping 10 lbs., 10 ozs.! ;)
Incidentally, I've always been in perfect health (no diabetes or anything, like you mentioned), only gained 20 to 30 pounds with all three (only 20 with the last -- and biggest -- if you can believe that LOL), and delivered all three completely naturally -- no drugs, no episiotomy and NO TEARING -- with the help of my wonderful midwife (the last two in the jacuzzi, which helped a ton with the nearly-11-pounder LOL).
Of course, if we do have a fourth, I'm hoping he or she aims more for the eight pound range ... other mothers think that's quite large enough! ;)

I had one child and she was 11lbs 14oz at birth. I had a c-section...thank god. I also did not have diabetes. I am an over-weight woman, so maybe that has something to do with it. My daughter is now 21 months and weighs 25lbs, which I think is pretty normal for her age. She is perfectly healthy. And I love her with all my heart.

My aunt had an 11 pounder vaginally with no medication. The doctor had estimated that she was around 8 pounds. Oops.

OMG!!! My daughter was only 6 lbs and I thought that was horrible on my body!! I can't imagine having a baby that big!! My goodness. I'm 37 weeks pregnant with a boy and am already scared because I think he's going to be bigger than my daughter was. I would die!!!

My niece had a baby that was 14.6 lbs and she is now 13 and slim and gorgeous. my niece gained a lot of weight though and was very heavy so this may have contributed to it.
