Let me try and help.
Hydrogen is the lightest element (just one proton and one electron) and the most abundant element in the universe. In it's elemental form, hydrogen is a gas. It is readily oxidized and it reacts and binds to lots of other elements.
So what?
Well, you are most water, and water is made of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. So, right there you know that without hydrogen you have no water, and without water, there is no life (as least no life as we know it on Earth).
Hydrogen, bound mostly to carbon and nitrogen, is part of almost every molecule in your body: DNA, proteins, sugars, fats. In fact, the hydrogen bond - which forms between atoms that "share" a hydrogen, is one of the most important interactions that makes biological molecules behave as they do.
So, essentially everything that we see contains hydrogen, atoms bound to other atoms as part of their molecular structure... and we are no different.

I'm afraid your question does not make much sense to me, all known enzymes are made up of proteins which in turn are made up of hydrogen and other elements. 60% of the body is water which contains hydrogen. In total therefore hydrogen is the most abundant element in the human body. If your talking about hydrogen gas getting into the body, it's a colourless, odourless and non poisonous gas which would have no ill effects on the body unless you breathed only hydrogen then you would die of affixiation.

The human needs hydrogen because the body needs to be hydrated and the body needs water. Water is formed in the body by mixing 2 hydrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom.

RE:
Why does the human body need hydrogen? How does hydrogen help your body?
I have searched all over the web for this info, but i can't seem to find it. I need to know why does the human body need the element hydrogen? And how does it help the human body? I need to know by Monday GMT +10h (Australian Eastern Standard Time).

Hydrogen played an important role in our body mainly as hydrogen ion (H+). As I know so far is only 2 but of course there are so much more because my lecturer keep emphasizing how important is hydrogen ions in our body.
Like answers above, hydrogen ions help to maintain the pH body by : CO2 + H20 <==> H2CO3 (reversible). This is one of the crictical function of hydrogen ions because pH has a widespread effect in our body. Alter of pH may affected respiratory control (PCO2 levels, mainly OH-)and cardiac function, digestion system, renal control, and enzyme activity. Enzyme denature in too acidic environment consequently affected metabolism pathway that invovled enzymes, such as glycolysis, storage of glycogen and fatty acid etc. The disturbances in pH may also results in derangements in blood clotting and drug metabolism.
Besides, hydrogen ions are needed in electron transport chain, which is 1 of the mechanism that produce energy (ATP) for our body.

The concentration of hydrogen ions (h+) effect the pH of different body fluids. Gastric juice has a low pH due to many hydrogen ions, which helps to break down food. Hydrogen ions in the body effect our breathing rate (a lower pH increase our breathing rate). Also, pH effects the activity of enzymes.

hydrogen is a binding element in our body. it greatly help damage healthy cells in our body. without hydrogen our blood would be too acidic that could promote diseases in our body.

Well, one thing...it helps you digest your food....The process of digestion uses hydrochloric acid to break down the food in your stomach so that it can be processed by the body.
The chemical notation is HCl (Hydrogen and Chlorine)
