My husband and I have only one card as we feel the banks and credit card companies charge too much and also they don't need what little money we've got, but it's becoming more difficult here in Britain as they're now starting to penalise people who pay by cash.

Cash is much better because you can control your expenses. Credit leaves you a debt.
