If everyone did not buy gas for one week, the prices would drop in half over night, the back-up would be unbelivable. Do it whatever way you can and we can get this down by June. And, please stay away from the big names, it's all the same. ***** PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO EVERYONE *****

Will everyone please just stop buying gas! It's needed for driving my 6 cylinder engine sedan. And before you jump on me about using this vehicle, let me say it gets driven so little that it only needs to be filled once a month if that much! The price will continue upwards until they have an alternative fuel that is used widespread and starts to replace gasoline! I still say compressed air should be used to power all our vehicles. They make negative air pollution. The US Energy department refuses to study their usage and development! And that fact speaks volumes about what the true energy focus for this nation is at this time!

No it would not. The only way this could have an effect is if people actually stopped driving those days, otherwise we are just putting the purchase off for a few days. The oil companies will be effected very little as the gas is already sitting in the tanks at the gas stations. When everyone shows up to fill up on the 5th, then the oil companies supposed reserves would be bought up. If we could all stay home for a weekend it would cause an impact. if everyone decided to walk when they are going less than 2 miles away from home it would have a major impact. if everyone decided not to sit in drive thru lines with their motor running it would make a significant impact. If toll roads were outlawed it would make a significant impact. We have the power to make these changes and they aren't difficult. This is the message that needs to get out. Waiting a couple of days to make a purchase is a fruitless exercise.

Almost creavtive idea; but you fail to realize that thier are over probably over 100 millions cars created in this world; that will only increase gas prices, due to the fact that to many cars have been produce already. Not buying gas for a couple of days will only make them increase prices every other day or so. So you will get caught up in the spending of oil.

ok, this is a stupid concept because even the big companies know that so what if you don't buy gas for a week because at some point you will HAVE to buy gas soon so this makes no since and prices aren't going to go down. This is just stupid.

Are you going to come and push my car when it runs out of gas after not filling up for a week?? Where do people come up with this s**t really. Don't give me that public transportation crap either there is none here (upstate South Carolina). And walking or riding my bike to work isn't an option either.

People complain about gas prices...
People also complain about global warming and greenhouse gases...
I really wish people would PICK ONE... and stop complaining about the other...
For humans to use less energy, it'll have to hit us where it hurts... Our wallets... when gas is 10 dollars a gallon and electricity generated through coal burning is 5 times the price of solar and wind, then we will actually reduce what we use... Until then, get used to it...

Why don't you just make it easy and say no gas on ODD number date. Or no gas on EVEN number date.
All this is pretty pathetic boycott anyways. Don't focus on gas boycott. This is gimmick. People won't buy it.
Focus on energy conservations; car pool, drive less, public transit...etc. If they drive less they'll buy less gas. Surprised?
