This is a cultural thing, I thought it would be okay under folklore. Mediteranneans would know about this, it called "Cornuto" in Italian.

an "evil eye" bracelet is for protection against the evil eye. Presumably, if you're wearing one, nobody can give you the evil eye. If one pops out, it just means you'll have to go to a jeweler and have it repaired.

You should be skeptical, both of claims about the harmfulness of giving someone the evil eye, and of the ability of your bracelet to detect evil eyes. What is more likely? That people are able to harm others by looking at them, and your bracelet is able to detect this action, or that evil eyes are nothing more than legend, and your bracelet is so cheaply made that pieces fall off of it?

An evil eye amulet is evil pure and simple.

The ogre and cyclops have one eye and it's evil.
Anyone who believes in the evil eye is evil itself pagan!

Even the dollar bill has an evil eye on the back of it which Freemasons use as a symbol.
