Is my guppy pregnant or fat?

My guppy was normal size two days ago and know she has a belly.... there is this clear pinkish color stuff floating around my tank.... i dont know what it is!!!! Can someone tell me, i thought she was sheding at first or something but she is staying close to the plants.......please can anyone shed some light. This is my first guppy, i dont know what to do!!!!!!!!

You need to remove the fish from the tank asap. Swelling that fast can only be caused by disease and the stuff you see in your tank can only be bodily fluids. Remove the fish and humanely euthanize it. If you have other fish in the tank, you will need to begin a treatment with antibiotics as soon as you can. Maracyn -2 would be a good choice. A few large water changes between now and then would also be a very good idea.

If there are no other fish in the tank, drain it, scrub it out with salt and hot water, allow it to dry and then refill it for more fish.

I would treat the guppy immediately in a hospital quarantine tank if it's not alone in its current tank. It sounds like the early stages of dropsy..not a disease itself, but a symptom of disease. Eventually, the scales will start to curve outwards giving a pine cone like shape. At this point, the kidneys have shut down and body fluids have accumulated. At this stage, the fish should be euthanized. Some people who have caught dropsy early have been able to treat with antibiotics.
The guppy could be pregnant, but the pink stuff floating sounds like the fish is dying unless something has inadvertantly fallen into the tank.

If she has a black spot her her anal fin, then she is pregnant. Put her in a breeder and wait until she gives birth. If you can't find a black spot, then she's fat.

What the...?I have Playties,and when they are pregnant,they have a really dark spot in their bellies.
