If there are more than three, they should be in a row. You can't say Rocky 1, 3 and 4. Indiana Jones and Rambo count as Triologies!!!

I'd have to say that even though The Godfather III was a far cry from the first two, they were so good that they more than make up for the third, making it the best trilogy of all time. Closely followed by Star Wars Episodes IV-VI, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, not necessarily in that order. By the way, before long neither Rambo nor Indiana Jones will be trilogies anymore.

If George Lucas didn't consider Star Wars as all one movie, I'd go with that. The long versions of Lord of the Rings, not the theatrical versions would be a contemporary title to add to "best of" lists. I have to say as a cinephile the Alien films and not including (as movie purist believe) the last one with Winona Ryder. Baz Lurman has a trilogy that few fans are aware of. Strictly Ballroom, Romeo&Juliet, and Moulin Rouge. The first told the story of love though dance, the second through language (namely Shakespeare), and the last through song, culminating into a "Love" trilogy. I also liked those films named after colors, Red, White, and Blue from Europe.

Hardcore and brutal seem into the lives of drug sellers. "Pusher" "Pusher II: With Blood on my arms" "Pusher 3: i'm the Angel of dying" And, needless to say, probable the acceptable trilogy of all time: The Apu Trilogy" directed by using Satyajit Ray that's epic and sweeping, the 1st action picture replaced into produced for something like 3,000 money...yeah you examine that precise 3 thousand...and that they are many times reported because of the fact the quite some appropriate action pictures of all time. that's stunning that persons will record silliness like famous man or woman Wars /The Matrix or uninteresting obtrusive options like the Godfather or perhaps the quite horrific like Pirates of the Carribean/Spider-guy, 3,000 money does no longer conceal 5 minutes of capturing of any of those options(3,000 probably does no longer conceal Toby McGuire's mixed espresso beverages). Ray has shown what a real artist and ability can do with the medium of action picture. effortlessly stunning stuff. "Pather Panchali" "Aparajito" "Apur Sansar"
