I think there's a double standard when it comes to Rosie and her opinions. While I don't agree with some of the stuff she's spoken up about, I can't help thinking that if it was a man making these comments, people wouldn't be nearly as upset about it.
Rosie is far from ignorant and stupid, by the way, and her surname is O'Donnell, not O'Donald.

It brings in crowd there are people who enjoy watching Rosie O'Donald. I am not one of them. I don't like her or her mouth.

While I don't always disagree with Rosie, I do think she's shrill, and talks loudly over everyone else so that she can't be upstaged. Her voice kind of reminds me of an old out of tune French horn, but less pleasant to hear! They probably kept her on the show, because she's contrary to everyone else, for the sake of disagreeing, and after all, the show is called "The View"!

she stirs the pot up by getting viewers and people like you (who have never watched the view, right?) , to think, think some more and think again about...
-what gov'ts do - and don't do -
-how it may /may not reflect the will of the people that politicos represent in a democratic society.

-overcome and address difiiculties/challenges(grief, depression, weight-image issues, + human rights as it relates to sexuality, marriage and parenting ) -
-does big "give-aways"(probably a misnomer , as taxes prob. have to be paid...?).
If the perhaps equally misinformed and sh*t disturbing Donald Strumpet/ Bill Oh'Really can present their versions of "success'/current events, promote their particular/peculiar viewpoints , Rosie O'Donell should be able to as well- whether anyone agrees with it or not - some do, some don't. Go figure. Here's to freedom of speech and the right to turn the channel.

Simple answer: Controversy equals ratings. Ratings equal more buzz about the show, equals more viewers, which equals more $$$$$ from advertisers!

Very good question!!!!!!!!! I think it is because of her ratings, whether good or bad, they get ratings, which in turn bring in good advertising dollars.
